Breaking Bad Habits
Sat 19 June • Mt Eden • 10am - 1pm • $40
We all have habits that seem hard to break. These limiting ways of thinking and behaving make us feel stuck, unhappy, discouraged and out of control. Although we make effort to change we often find our self engaging in the same habit patterns over and over again without a clear method or strategy for how to break them.
On this meditation workshop Kelsang Shechog will explain the mental attitudes that cause our bad habits and keep us compulsively engaging in behaviours that harm ourself and others. Through understanding Buddha’s teachings on the mind we can gain confidence in our potential to change. We can then replace even our most stubborn habits with profoundly beneficial ways of thinking and living that lead to mental peace, freedom and happiness.
Kelsang Shechog is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Auckland.
