The focus of the retreat will be one of Buddhism’s best-loved teachings Eight Verses of Training the Mind by the famous Buddhist meditator Geshe Langri Tangpa. These eight verses reveal powerful meditations that awaken our potential for loving kindness, compassion, and wisdom.

The Teacher

Teacher - Bio - Gen Kelsang Shechog

Gen Kelsang Shechog is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Auckland. Having practised and taught Kadampa Buddhism for over 16 years, her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that is easily accessible and applicable to modern life. Gen Shechog is much loved for her gentle manner, kind heart and for showing an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path.
