Our live-stream classes are as follows:

Suitable for everyone, our weekly live-streamed meditation classes are the perfect opportunity to take a break from busy daily life, increase your inner peace, happiness and well-being, and experience the benefits of meditation for yourself.

In each class a different aspect of meditation and Buddhism is explained. The classes are self-contained so you can drop in any week. There is no need to book or bring anything. Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a second guided meditation based on the topic. There is also an opportunity to ask questions.

Weekly Meditation Classes - Current Topic: Happiness How to Understand the Mind

Happiness and suffering are feelings – parts of our mind – and so their main causes are not to be found outside the mind.

In this series we will gain a deep insight into our mind, and discover how an understanding of its nature and functions can be used practically in everyday experience to improve our lives. This is a 4 week course.

Weekly Modern Buddhism Classes

These classes explore Buddhist teachings that help us to develop and experience a deep inner peace by learning to control our mind so that we can remain happy whatever is happening in our life. The classes are presented in a way that is suitable for our modern world.

The Teacher

Kelsang Shechog is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Auckland. Shechog has been practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over 15 years. Her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that is easily accessible and applicable to modern life. Shechog is much loved for her gentle manner, kind heart and for showing an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path.
