Teacher - Bio - Gen Kelsang Shechog

Gen Kelsang Shechog is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Auckland. Having practised and taught Kadampa Buddhism for over 16 years, her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that is easily accessible and applicable to modern life. Gen Shechog is much loved for her gentle manner, kind heart and for showing an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path.

Anastasia Dailianis

Anastasia has practised Modern Kadampa Buddhism for many years in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand. She is a warm and compassionate teacher who has great skill in connecting with others from all walks of life. She brings to her classes, her love of Kadampa Buddhist teachings and lively, practical approach to solving daily problems.

David MacPherson

Dave has been practising Kadampa Buddhist teachings for many years in Australia and in New Zealand. He has received extensive teachings and shows a perfect example of applying the teachings and practices of Kadampa Buddhism in his daily life. Dave is known for his great sincerity, loving kindness and wisdom. He is a skilful teacher who has helped many people to begin the practice of integrating Buddhist wisdom into their lives. Dave teaches the Weekly City Centre class and occasionally teaches the Foundation Programme.

Lizzie is an experienced practitioner and teacher who is well known for her enthusiasm for Kadampa Buddhist teachings. She speaks from the heart and gives thoughtful, helpful and down-to-earth teachings that are based on her own life experiences. Lizzie is the order manager for Tharpa New Zealand.

Fiona has been practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for many years. Her teachings are heartfelt, inspiring and extremely practical, making it easy for students to apply the instructions in daily life.

Jasmine Dungey

Jazz is an experienced and dedicated Kadampa practitioner and teacher. Her sincere practice and experience of applying Buddha’s teachings in daily life are an inspiration to all who know her. Jazz's teachings are very clear and logical, using examples and analogies that make her teachings easy for students to put into practice. Jazz is the Admin Director for Kadampa Meditation Centre Auckland.

Mat

Mathew Stewart

Mat has been practising and teaching Buddhist meditation for many years. He is known for his heartfelt and gentle teaching style which helps students to understand how to practically apply meditation to their busy daily lives. Mat teaches all our regular classes in Tauranga.
